Mission Statement

Out of the Shadows focuses on equine welfare.  The horses cannot speak for themselves. There are many equine advocates out there who speak for them.

Amigo, my albino gelding, acting as a guide for Sylvester.

My goal is to bring issues such as horse slaughter and the use of horse meat for human consumption to the attention of the general public.  Thousands of horses are being slaughtered every year.  In the U.S., the BLM is rounding up our Mustangs and holding them in inhumane conditions.   All of it must stop.

Thank you for caring. How do we get more known about these things happening to horses. And educate non-horse people? Just asking rhetrorically. Thanking you for giving this a voice.

You can ask rhetorically but I will answer anyway! You can share the stories of the horses who have been lost and educate people. Most people have no idea what can happen to the horses. We can also work to ban horse slaughter in North America!
